STOP THE PRESS: Portal has made its arrival!
It’s with great pleasure (and a creaking, heaving mass of what’s left of my sanity) to announce the launch of the inaugural issue of PORTAL, the interactive eMag for Arsenal fans!
Click here to view Issue 1

To navigate, simply click on the ‘windowed’ button on the cover screen
Check out the “In off the Post” section at the bottom of the screen for navigation, gunners’ zodiac, and the Know-it-All.
Within this bar (from left to right, as of Issue 1) is ‘Credits’, ‘Gunners’ Zodiac’, ‘The Know-it-All’, windowed-mode, full-screen mode, back to front page and a link back to the blog.
Full-screen mode at this stage is more designed for back-issues, which is where you can physically download the magazine to keep.
Downloading PORTAL to your hard-drive
Downloading back-issues are available on request, simply email me at
. Please let me know of what operating system you have so I can send the correct projector files. Projector files are executable (.exe) for Windows, so no, I am not sending you any viruses, before you ask.
The first issue’s size is just under 10mb – so it’s smaller than a half-hour podcast
The first issue marks just the beginning of what I hope to be a monthly magazine throughout Arsenal’s season (and beyond?). What you see here, then, is just a taste of what’s to
come. For example, I’m hoping article length will increase in future issues – this edition’s ‘features’ are very brief but frankly, I just wanted to get runs on the board and build it from there. That and the audio player can (and will be) improved in future issues.
This is just the first month and is far from the finished article. Every month extra features will be included to keep you your insatiable appetites at bay.
Happy reading and be sure to let me know your honest thoughts in the comments. Yes, this is took a lot of work and I am somewhat emotionally attached to it, but I want frank and honest criticism so that this thing might go places.
Excelsior!!!!

Looks and sounds so good!
This is excellent!
Cool!
Well done, very good job!
Fantastic, portal is going to be massive!
You have really put a lot of effort in there Jam. Good luck fella.
Many thanks, guys. I published this post at 2:30am my time (about 4:30pm UK time so you guys were completely oblivious to the pain and suffering this end) and am now up to spend the morning with my partner’s parents (inlaws, if you will), play a 90 minute match as goalie for my local, then head off back to partner’s graduation ceremony tonight with massive bags under my eyes.
None of which I have been nervous more than the thought of being slated for ‘a piece of crap’ when waking up to the comments. Many thanks for the kind words.
Arrrrrrrrrrrrgh dude! You made me sound so negative! I’m actually really excited about this season!
Top work though, that really is something you should be proud of.
Really constrained for space as you probably saw, man – apologies for that, though I didnt really think it was that negative – keep sending in your thoughts, though, the thing will improve with age. Thanks for the feedback.
[...] Finally, many thanks for the outstanding feedback after the first issue of PORTAL was released to unanimous applause. For those living under a rock for the past few days, you can view the inaugural netcast episode issue right here. [...]
Thanks a lot for Portal. It’s very impressive.
