Arshavin’s off! Time to PANIC!!!
After getting back from work today, I’m dealt with an absolute sucker punch, right to my very foundations.
Andrey Arshavin, one of the best players at Arsenal and indeed in the Premier League, wants out of Arsenal after admitting he wants to play for Barcalona!
I threw tables, I threw chairs! NO! How can this be? Our season is in ruins before it has even begun.
I cannot believe it. The Sun, bastion of truth and all that is good and holy in the world, brought us the exclusive and I’m told by very reliable sources* that the deal could go through within the next two weeks.I seriously cannot understand what is happening at my beloved club. I have loved Arsenal since I can remember, but now that Arshavin and Eboue, two of our greatest players in living memory, I just don’t think I have the heart for it anymore.
I…screw it, I can’t keep it up anymore. It’s quite a bit of donkey-spunk but if I didn’t end it now I’d have people taking me seriously.
The fact that the staff of that paper take themselves seriously after posting two lines and a made up quote is rather repugnant. The fact the Spanish media are bound to pick it up in turn is even more so.
I’m at a loss to explain why the media has it in for Arsenal. Were they mouthing off to the media like Fernando Torres or Rafa Benitez about ‘how little money’ they have to spend after splashing out £18million on a bloody right back, we’d get slaughtered.
If we had as many Spanish players in our side as they do, we’d get slaughtered. If Drogba played for Arsenal instead of Chelsea and swore a blue streak at the television, we’d get slaughtered. Instead, the Dogbag gets hailed for his passion for the club.
One of those days, I guess.
In other news, it seems like Felipe Melo’s deal could be off. In retrospect, perhaps I should have seen it after he admitted he had ‘heard rumours’ when discussing it with Gilberto Silva. Perhaps he had never been contacted in the first place.
Ah well. The transfer window carries on, I suppose.

To true, the Sun newspaper released an OLD quote from Arshavin saying he'd be happy if he played for Barca, i stress the word OLD. Any article from the newspapers these days are utter rubbish, if its not news coming out of the Arsenal camp it shouldn't be believed.

I think it's just worded cleverly guys. Five months ago could mean he signed the deal 5 months ago, or he said the quote five months ago, certainly the latter!
