I believe Song is just a yellow card away from a suspension? (Please correct me if I’m wrong) Hopefully he can escape the Sunderland game without any card. He would be important in the match against Chelski. I see Song as the only man in midfield to possess the strength to match the physicality of Chelski midfield. (And maybe Diaby, if he is fit).

every1 should be hoping our players r ok aftr de intl matchs,away to sunderland could be sticky even though der not really playn well lately then home to liege for 3pts and top the group.,then chelasea at the emirates,i hope the players are up for this one over what happend here last season and after watching yesterdays game they should have nothing to fear chelseas mid is not great and we should be able to play around them they have no width either so song will have to play well,lookn forward to it already i fancy us to beat them and we will be top heading into december,keep believing.the glory days are not to far again for us,it starts at the stadium of light!!!!!!

I wouldnt say we haven’t moved on, DSR. We’ve proved enough so far that we are absolutely murdering the teams way down below us (hello, Spurs!). It’s just that this match is always going to be difficult from a mile away. A little angsty, I am.

Agreed about the tricky match away to Sunderland. And as you say the 3 points is vital – a win will show we really can be contenders but lost points against a midtable team will show that we havnt really moved on over the last few years.

Agreed Trini. I think after a few dissapointments over the years, a lot of Gooners are naturally pretty well grounded with this sort of thing and actually prefer when the spot light is *not* on the club. Chelsea can go on believing they’ve won the title already, for all I care.
