Well Toure was often the weak link in defence last season, and getting 16 million for a player on the decline is fantastic business. Wenger has bought a replacement in Vermaelen, a player who is a bit like Keown or Campbell, in that he's good in the air and not afraid to get stuck in.

Greedybayor is a dick, plain and simple. Getting him out of the club is the best thing for the moral of the squad and our bank account.

Eboue... he's a good squad player, much more reliable than having one of the kids step-up for RB or RM. So I'd be sad to see him go, especially if we get less than 10 million for him.

If Eboue goes Wenger will probably bring in a RB to add some competition and cover for that position. And I'd love to see a DM of some description come in. Someone like Vidal of Leverkusen or Yussuf of Kiev.

I think the three players we have sold (assuming Kolo and Eboue leave) are the ones that offered the least solidity. Adebayor was a problem, despite his undoubted talent. Kolo has never been the same since he caught malaria and Eboue was not well liked by the fans, although I actually think he got better during the latter part of last season.

Not sure AW will buy two players. Maybe one. I would like him to buy a new CD and DM, but whether there are two such players, of good enough quality actually available I am not sure.

Whatever happens I still have faith in the team and AW. I just wait for all the stupid comments that will follow your article and my reply!
