Jack Wilshere has thrown his hat unabashedly into the ring for Arsenal’s attacking options, there is no doubting that.
After single-handedly dismantling Rangers 3-0 last night (highlights below) and bringing on some real verve against Athletico Madrid the day before, he has every man and his dog clamouring for a starting place in the Arsenal line-up.

A short blog as I’m commuting up the coast for much of the day.
News is just in that Real Madrid have denied any interest in midfielder Cesc Fabregas. Though Barcelona have been the main mover-and-shaker in the sordid affair, Real have also had many links to the player fabricated by lazy journalists.

A quick one to say that Goal.com (sceptical?) have released a yarn saying we are in negotiations with Fiorentina again over Felipe Melo – the only club ‘coming close to his release clause’, which is now set to be diminished with Eboue thrown into the mix.
If true, that’s absolute, pure gold. Nothing short of.
