BIO: Much-hyped attacking midfield prospect ‘poached’ from Barcelona in similar style to Cesc Fabregas. The young Catalan is a different prospect from Cesc though, with Fran adopting a more direct style of play. Has a lethal shot, eye for a long pass and physical build. Has only recently started to break into the first team with a magnificent long-range goal against Liverpool in the Carling Cup, but is rated very highly within the club’s training circles.
